     Umbrella has a very long history in China,Luban’s wife made the first umbrella during Chunqiu dynasty.Oiled paper umbrellas have become more and more popular in Han dyansty in ancient China,From Tang Dynasty umbrella is exported to Japan and Southeast Asian countries, it arrived Britain and then spread throughout Europe and the United States and all over the world in middle of 18^th century, umbrellas made by silk with lace were very popular at that time ,but it was very heavy in weight,some weighed 4.5kg,not convenient for people to carry,after that oil paper umbrella became very regular during Tang and Song dynasty.

    Nowadays,there are many kinds of umbrella such as straight umbrella,fold umbrella,sun umbrella,beach umbrella,promotional umbrella,advertising umbrella,golf umbrella,and so on,materials for umbrella have changed a lot such as steel, fiberglass,aluminum,plastic compare to the beginning of umbrella.

Umbrella became light from 19^th century,and some small light fold umbrella arised at that time,many people like to bring it whenere they go,especially with small fold umbrella,it’s conveient to carry.

     Some young ladys like to visit friends with beautiful fold umbrella,or oil paper umbrella ,and matching with their beautiful dresses and accessories.

Umbrella become more and more important in people’s daily life,and it have more usage except protecting people from sun and rain,Particularly from 21st century, umbrella is very colorful, umbrella  style and fabric diversify, people pay more attention to environments, umbrella become  eco-friendly.
